CN III, the oculomotor nerve, is one of the three nerves that innervate the eye muscles and it is involved with both vertical and horizontal movements of the eye. It is susceptible to injury from vascular occlusions and compression from herniations and/or aneurysms. Regarding paramedian basilar branches, CN III is in the midbrain and so would not be affected by an occlusion in that vessel. Consider the other nerves or return to the case to try again.
